Covering an 80,000 sqm area of flat land, the site showcases nearly millennium-old walls, providing a clear view of the city’s skyline, blending the past with the future seamlessly. At the entrance, a visitor’s center awaits, with knowledgeable and passionate staff ready to assist history enthusiasts or curious tourists stumbling upon this hidden gem. Information boards simplify historical facts, allowing visitors to absorb the site's significance and journey back to the Abbasid era from the 9th to 11th centuries. The site is small but wide, with a paved track encircling it which makes it ideal for the kids to take their scooters along and scoot around the place. It's the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon outdoors, taking in some rich history and beautiful sights.
