There are still a couple of weeks left of the summer holiday and if you’re anything like us and running out of ideas on how to keep your tiniest ones occupied, we hope that the below picks can help mix things up a bit. From fantastic indoor play areas, budget-friendly picks to places you can explore the animal world, here are some super fun things to do for toddlers in the UAE this summer.

1. Mommy & Me Playdate at Xpark Jr
Enjoy XPark Jr’s natural playscape at a special price with your little ones. Gain access to all of the park’s beautiful spaces where your kids can play and explore the outdoor forest like playscape with plenty of shade, meet lots of friendly animals, and get a free arts & crafts pack (to be done at home). Meanwhile, mommies enjoy a coffee or tea and a pastry by Park House Café for AED 15.

2. Cheeky Monkeys
Your kids can have a blast as they learn through play at Cheeky Monkeys dedicated to endless fun. The award-winning soft-play area is home to up to a 5-level play structure with slides, trampolines & climbers, and ball pits for toddlers.
Enjoy bonding with your little ones as you create endless artistic projects in their fully stocked arts and crafts garden, or watch them explore the life-size Monkey Clubhouse, and get pampered at the Kids Salon.

3. Mum's Club at Hilton Dubai The Walk
All mums can enjoy pool and beach access priced at only AED 50 (fully redeemable on food and beverages) whilst the little ones (below the age of 12 years) can enter the facilities free of charge.
Relax and enjoy a dip in the temperature-controlled pool from 8am, spend the day lounging by the beach, and redeem AED 50 at any of the hotel’s signature dining venues. You can enjoy some scenic meals at Wavebreaker’s open dining patio offering delicious menu of supersized burgers and heathy salads or grab a casual lunch at the vibrant Mango Tree Thai Bistro.
Enter a unique play zone that allows your kiddies to get as creative as they like with endless LEGO building blocks. Join in on workshops for any age, get girly in the LEGO Friends zone, and enjoy plenty of famous LEGO collections such as Disney and Star Wars.
Need to run some errands or just want a little me-time? Your kids (from 3yrs+) can stay and play with Bricobilandia’s experienced staff.

6. Dig It Dubai
Your kiddies are in for some digging fun at this edutainment play space based around a real working building site. Boys and girls will learn how to work together as they dig, move, build and create using various means that stimulate their imagination and provide an active, enriching play experience.
Your children can look forward to activities such as ‘climb aboard’ – a real-life digger, operating remote control cars, driving lessons, workshops as well as sand play. Besides the creative play space, kids can also enjoy yummy food & beverage options on-site at the Dig It Café.
Though most activities are best suitable for kids 3-10yrs, there’s a small soft play area for the tinies as well. Kids under 2yrs go free if accompanied by a paying carer (AED 40).
7. La La Land Uptown Mirdif
Your littles are in for a ton of fun over at La La Land where they can get busy with a host of activities. Blow off some steam over at the Playground that comes complete with slide, trampoline, ball pool, and mats. Your kiddies can also play with a range of educational toys and play dress-up.
Your older kids will enjoy plopping down on a bean bag and getting lost in an electronic adventure in the PS4 area.
Made up of different interactive galleries that combine 30+ hands-on activities, this awesome wonderland focuses on an open-ended and non-judgmental play for children through installations created by academics, artists, professors, and designers.
Hands-on activities include making paper planes and launching them, making art and crafts, creating shapes that can float on a stream of air, and making cars with Lego.
8. Orange Wheels Town Centre Jumeirah
Explore an exciting indoor and outdoor play area that is home to so much excitement for your little ones. From themed arts and crafts, pretend play, a thrilling soft play area, interactive cooking stations and an outdoor water-play space, Orange Wheels’ hands-on activity programs are designed to promote education, excellence and entertainment in a thoroughly safe environment.
Capacity is at currently at 50% and you need to book in advance. Two adults go free per paying child.
9. Splash N Party Dubai
Get wet and splash around as you ride the aquatic waterslides and swim in the pools – or even fly down the thrilling zip line. This intimate, gated compound has something for everyone with splash pads for the little ones and a restaurant and juice bar for you.

10. A-MAZE-ING Summer at BurJuman
Stay cool this summer as BurJuman brings the outdoors indoor with an “A-MAZE-ING” Dubai Summer Surprises extravaganza for the whole family (with strict social distancing and safety protocols in place).

15. Emirates Park Zoo
Housing hippos, flamingos, reptiles, and over 1,400 wild animals and pets, this Zoo and resort is a perfect way to spend the day as a family. Get up close and personal with the animals and discover all the different species.
You and your littles can even join the feeding of various animals including giraffes, elephants, goats, monkeys and hippos.
Give your kids an unforgettable zoo experience by checking out the exciting animal shows and presentations, including a Sea Lion presentation, Elephant Encounter, and Tropical Birds Show.
Your kids will enjoy the sea lions’ tricks of diving, climbing, and dancing, and will get a better understanding of the ecology of sea, the roles humans play in conserving sea lions and learn about their methods of adaptation. You can also opt for the exciting elephant feeding session and an educational program about the largest land mammal in the world.
As a third option, your family can also enjoy a fun-filled presentation of the lovely tropical birds featuring blue, golden macaws, parrots, and rose-breasted cockatoos. What’s more, you will also get a chance to learn about the types of birds and see them do amusing tricks.
16. Yas Waterworld
There’s something for everyone at this family-orientated waterpark. Fun areas include the tots playground Marah Fortress which has swings and slides with squirters for the littlest, while rides and larger slides will get your older adrenaline junkies flying around the park. It’s fun for all the family.
It is mandatory to book your visiting date before arriving at the theme park.
The theme park will operate at reduced capacity and some attractions/features may be temporarily unavailable.
17. Soul Beach
Head out for a fun day under the sun at this new 1km beachfront paradise on Saadiyat Island.
You can order food and beverages right from your sun lounger. Each table features a QR code, which gives you access to the menu. Orders can be made via WhatsApp, and will be delivered by buggy.
All sun beds are spaced at least two metres apart, with free sanitiser on hand for guests, while a lifeguard will watch the swimming zone.
Price per person includes the use of a sun bed and a parasol
18. Arabia's Wildlife Centre
Discover the amazing diversity of indigenous wildlife found on the Arabian Peninsula at Sharjah Arabia’s Wildlife Centre. The whole family will be amazed at the sight of wildcats, gazelles, Nubian ibex, flamingos, baboons, Arabian Leopards, and much more.
19. Kids Fun House
Dive into an aquatic-themed, soft adventure playground where your children will discover a world of slides, obstacle courses, climbing frames, and ball pits. Not only is the play area designed beautifully, but it also ensures your little ones’ safety.
Children below 3 are required to be accompanied by a guardian.
20. Sharjah Aquarium
Explore the fascinating hidden world of the deep sea with all of its amazing creatures at the Sharjah Aquarium. Your whole family can enjoy an up-close look at the local fish and learn about Sharjah’s historic coasts and ports.
