Dubai Parks and Resorts 2026: Which Park Is Best for Kids?

Planning a family day at Dubai Parks and Resorts? The first thing to know is that Dubai Parks and Resorts isn’t one park - it’s four separate parks on the same site: LEGOLAND® Dubai, LEGOLAND® Water Park, MOTIONGATE™ Dubai and Real Madrid World. Each park has enough rides, attractions and experiences to keep families busy for several hours, so you can’t realistically do all four in one day. Use Kidzapp to compare the parks, find the right fit for your family, and book your chosen experience.

So which one should you choose? It mostly comes down to your child’s age and interests.

Which park is best for your child?

Ages 2-12: LEGOLAND Dubai is a good fit for younger children, with rides for different heights.

Ages 2-12 + water lovers: Consider LEGOLAND Water Park.

Tweens and teens: MOTIONGATE has more high-thrill options.

Football fans: Real Madrid World gives you the most sport-specific experience.

Mixed-age families: Check height restrictions as well as ages - they can make a big difference to which rides children can access. A 7-year-old under 105cm will have a different ride selection from a 7-year-old who is 120cm tall.

Planning Your Visit

The four parks - LEGOLAND® Dubai, LEGOLAND® Water Park, MOTIONGATE™ Dubai and Real Madrid World Dubai - are expected to reopen for the new season mid-October. Check the latest operating dates, park timings, ride availability and entry rules before visiting.

Each park can take several hours, so trying to visit all four in one day means rushing through each one. If you have multiple days, spread the parks across your trip instead.

If you're considering a multi-park pass, check exactly which parks and dates it covers before booking. Options can vary.

November to March are generally the most comfortable months for outdoor attractions. October and April can also work if you start early and plan breaks around the heat.

During hotter months, LEGOLAND Water Park is an obvious option for a water-focused day, while parks with more indoor attractions offer places to cool down.

Arrive at opening time if you can, as queues are usually shortest early in the day.

For a theme park day, bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hats and a refillable water bottle. Visiting LEGOLAND Water Park? Add swimwear and a change of clothes.

If you're travelling with younger children, a stroller can also be useful for a full day at the resort.

LEGOLAND® Dubai

LEGOLAND® Dubai is the easiest pick for families with children around 2-12 years old, especially if your children enjoy building, driving and interactive rides rather than big coasters. The park has more than 40 rides, shows and attractions, with plenty of rides and hands-on LEGO experiences.

For younger children, start with DUPLO® Express, Junior Driving School and City Airport. Height requirements vary. DUPLO Express starts at 80cm, while Junior Driving School and City Airport require 95cm.

Older children around 105-120cm have more options, including LEGO® Technic Twister, Beetle Bounce, Wave Racers and The Dragon. The Dragon has a 120cm minimum height, so check the restrictions before promising a particular ride.

How long do you need? Allow a full day if this is your main park. A shorter visit can work for younger children.

Skip it if: your children are older teens looking mainly for serious thrill rides. There are coasters, but this is fundamentally a family-focused LEGO park.

LEGOLAND® Water Park

LEGOLAND® Water Park is designed specifically around families with children aged 2-12, making it a practical option for cooling off during Dubai’s hotter months. It has more than 20 water slides and attractions, ranging from toddler splash areas to family slides.

For little ones, DUPLO® Splash Safari has toddler-sized slides and interactive water play, with a 91cm minimum height for the slides. Joker Soaker also starts at 91cm on its lower level.

There is plenty for taller children too. Red Rush requires a minimum height of 107cm, while Splash Out and Twin Chasers start at 102cm. LEGO® Slide Racers has a 107cm minimum.

For something everyone can enjoy together, try the Build-A-Raft River, where children can build their own LEGO raft before floating along the river.

How long do you need? Plan for half to a full day. Younger children may be ready to leave after four or five hours, while older children can easily spend the whole day in the water.

Skip it if: your children aren't interested in water or you prefer dry rides.

MOTIONGATE™ Dubai

MOTIONGATE™ Dubai is the park to consider for tweens, teens and families looking for bigger rides. Its movie-themed zones feature DreamWorks, Columbia Pictures and Lionsgate, with family attractions alongside larger coasters.

There is still plenty for smaller children. Hotel Transylvania has a 90cm minimum height, while Dragon Gliders starts at 100cm. Flint's Imagination Lab is another option for younger visitors, with a 90cm requirement.

The bigger rides become available as children get taller. Now You See Me: High Roller requires 120cm, John Wick: Open Contract requires 125cm, and Capitol Bullet Train requires 130cm.

That makes MOTIONGATE particularly interesting for tweens and teens, although younger children can still have a good day if they are tall enough for the family attractions. Just check current operating status before you go - individual rides can close temporarily for maintenance.

How long do you need? Allow a full day, particularly if your children want to ride the bigger attractions.

Skip it if: your children are very young and don't meet the height requirements for many rides. You may spend a lot of time walking past attractions they can't ride.

Real Madrid World Dubai

Real Madrid World is the newest of the four parks, built around football, Real Madrid and interactive experiences.

The Bernabéu Experience takes visitors through stadium-inspired spaces, while attractions such as Meet the Stars, Magic Cleats, The Real Challenge and La Fábrica Training Pitch give children opportunities to interact and play.

There are rides too. The Wave - La Ola is a family roller coaster, while Hala Madrid: The Coaster offers more speed. The Stars Flyer takes riders around 460 feet into the air.

Height restrictions vary by attraction. Road to Victory, for example, has a 100cm minimum height, so check individual requirements if your child is close to a limit.

How long do you need? Allow around half to a full day. Football fans who want to try the challenges, see the themed attractions and ride the coasters can easily fill a day.

Skip it if: nobody in the family follows football. The rides are not the only reason to visit, and much of the appeal comes from the Real Madrid theme.
