Downey’s Strawberry & Apple Farm is a family farm, owned and operated by Greg Downey which grows fruits and vegetables. Greg is a 7th generation farmer in the Region of Peel and 3rd generation Downey on Downey’s Strawberry & Apple Farm. ----- SCHEDULE ----- - Summers - Strawberry Picking, Raspberry Picking - August - October: Apple Picking - Mid-September to November: apple cider, wagon rides, and freshly made candy apples - September to October 31 - Visit the Pumpkin Patch - August until mid-October - Sweet Corn ------ APPLE PICKING ----- - Apple Picking opens August 25 2023. - No admission charge, but you must spend $8 on picked apples. - Bags: Guests have the choice of picking a 10 lb bag of apples for $26 (max 3 people per bag) or a 20 lb bag of apples for $42 (max 5 people per bag). - All bags, large purses, backpacks and diaper bags must remain locked in your vehicle during your visit. You need your hands free to pick apples!
