At Christie Lake Conservation Area, you’re able to enjoy one of the most beautiful lake settings on the Niagara Escarpment.

Looking for a place to do it all?

- Recreational Trails: Explore 10 km of trails that wind through peaceful meadows and towering pines. Our multi-use recreational trails are accessible by foot, snowshoes, or cross-country skis, weather permitting.

- Cycling: Enjoy our 10km of multi-use trails and cyclists can also enjoy themselves on park roads. Please obey the rules of the road and wear a helmet for your safety.

- Picnicking: Christie Lake offers covered picnic pavilions, hundreds of picnic tables, and grassy fields that are perfect for games, races or just relaxing

- Disc Golf: An 18-hole championship disc golf course is free to use with park entry.

--- Enjoy canoeing, fishing, swimming, and the lake’s 360-meter sandy beach.

- Fishing: Fish from a boat, shoreline, or docks located around the reservoir as you try to catch the big one! Some native species that you will find in the reservoir include; Northern pike, Largemouth bass, and variety of panfish.

Please note fishing is closed from April 1st to the fourth Saturday in June – annually.

Boating/Paddling: Have an up-close look at Christie Lake while paddling as you paddle down the reservoir. Get on the water with rowboats, canoes, and kayaks available for rent (or bring your own). Gasoline motors are not permitted on the reservoir. Launching watercraft in the swimming area is prohibited. The boat launch is located on the east end of the park by the Marina Pavilion.

Swimming: Swimmers, sunbathers, and sandcastle masters will enjoy Christie Lake’s 360-meter sandy beach!

Be smart this summer season and follow all water safety rules. No lifeguards are provided on our beaches. Adults, and children are your responsibility.
