Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a 155-acre urban nature sanctuary located on the western edge of Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. Established in 1967, it offers visitors a chance to explore native Texas habitats, including prairie, woodland, wetland, and riparian areas, through over 5 miles of nature trails. The site also features eight ponds, a wildlife-rich riparian corridor along Buffalo Bayou, and six educational field stations providing information about local flora and fauna. ​ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center ------- HIGHLIGHTS ------- - Discovery Room: Features interactive exhibits, live ambassador animals, and various habitat zones.
