Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre

Discover the rich biodiversity of the region’s mountain habitats at Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation centre, located at the base of the Hajar Mountains outside of Kalba. With landscape enclosures and imaginative displays, you and your little ones can explore the flora and fauna of the mountains, and learn about thirty different mountain species. Get up close to snakes, lizards, hedgehogs and scorpions, Arabian leopards, wolves, tahrs and caracals (desert lynx). There are golf carts to whizz visitors around and trained guides on hand to answer questions about Arabian wildlife.
