Immerse your children in an interactive and engaging world of books at the new Abu Dhabi Children's Library. The huge whimsical space, spread over three uniquely-themed floors, will make your children feel like they're part of the stories and inspire them to fall in love with reading. The Library is divided into several cool zones where your kids can read and learn in fun and engaging environment: BOOK MOUNTAIN: An open auditorium space where your kids can sit, read, watch a movie, or even sketch. THE DUNES: The kids can walk around the dune-inspired space, where they can also lear about how dunes are formed, or ride on the back of the camel and listen to ancient nomad tales of the UAE. CREATURE SPACE: Your kids will learn about creatures, real and imaginary, as well as nature and the environment in this cool animal themed area. TODDLERS AREA: The perfect spot for little tots to enjoy story-time, play, learn, and bond with the grownups. ART WORKSHOPS: Where your kids can unleash their inner artist and learn to create using different techniques and media. STUDIO SPACE: Your kids will learn to code, build apps, record podcasts, and even star in their own movies. THE FALAJ: Kids can enjoy the sounds of the oasis as they relax with a book in their own treehouse. READING NOOKS: The perfect cozy spots to snuggle down for some quiet time with a good read. --- Here's what's in store this Ramadan: FREE WORKSHOPS IN RAMADAN Take on the opportunity to join our free exploratory in-person workshops throughout Ramadan, including oil painting on Tuesday 4 May from 1 - 4 pm and Arabic calligraphy with artist and calligrapher Mohammed Mandi every weekend on drop-in basis between 8 - 11 PM. No prior registration necessary. EXPLORE THE ART EXHIBITIONS Come view the new exhibitions and get inspired. Explore the works of visionary Moroccan artist, Mohammed Chabâa; large scale murals by 15 UAE-based artists; and a literary exhibit which focuses on the flow of knowledge and cultural exchange between Germany and the Arab world. WEEKLY HAKAWATI SESSIONS AND CHALLENGES Join the Ramadan-themed interactive online programme for children featuring weekly story time (Hakawati), acting challenges, arts, crafts, and other sessions for the kids to get creative while learning about the Holy Month.
