Explore this 3 story museum where you can browse over 1,800 artifacts that narrate the story of Alexandria and Egypt. Make your way through the three floors, each hosting a different theme: the basement housing the Pharaonic artifacts, the ground level displaying the Graeco-Roman treasures, and the 1st floor - containing relics from Egypt's Coptic Christian and Islamic heritage, as well as some insight into the valuables left behind by King Farouk's family before the 1952 revolution.
The museum is located in a former Italianate mansion, and used to be the home of a wood sales person. It also used to be home to the United States consulate. The building is located around a large garden, where you and your little ones can enjoy the fresh air.
