The festival celebrates Indigenous peoples' heritage and culture through programming like creative workshops, culinary experiences, education days, traditional knowledge, and a movie night. The festival also features the popular Competition Pow Wow, which includes live dance performances and music

The 2026 Competition Pow Wow will take place from June 20–21 and will feature dancers and drummers from across the US and Canada competing for over $100,000 in prizes including a brand new Smoke Dance Category. The Northern Cree will host the drum, and Young Tribe will co-host.
