High Park Zoo is a great choice for families, to go for a scenic walk and also to satisfy kids’ love of animals. This municipal zoo located within High Park features a variety of animal species. These include bison, llamas, highland cattle, reindeer, and various types of birds. It’s nestled within beautiful High Park, which is a hub for many outdoor activities, especially in the summer months. You can easily make a day trip out of it: pack a picnic, buy some ice cream, cool off at the splash pad, or visit the nearby playground.
