Stretching along the eastern shoreline of Georgian Bay, this UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve protects one of the most ecologically rich freshwater landscapes in the world. Known as The Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere, the area is home to thousands of islands, ancient rock formations, diverse forests, wetlands, and rare plant and animal species. Through hands-on education, youth programs, and outdoor experiences, it inspires the next generation to care for water, wildlife, and land, blending science, stewardship, and Indigenous knowledge. ----- PROGRAMS ----- More than just a place on a map, the Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere invites kids to step outside, learn about nature hands-on, and grow into environmental stewards.
