1. The Rain Room

Walk in the rain without getting wet! The Rain Room, a part of Sharjah Art Foundation, is a unique art installation that uses recycled water, providing a continuous stream of rainfall. With special trigger motion sensors, the room detects movements and pauses the rain wherever you are. A fun experience for the whole family with plenty of photo-snapping moments. You can buy tickets at the venue or book online to choose a specific time-slot in advance. 1. Sharjah Discovery Centre

Teach your children through play at this museum packed with so many different things to discover. The center is divided into seven major areas featuring a variety of entertainment ideas including The Drive Town, Airport, Build Town, petroleum refinery, TV studio, Climbing Walls, Sound Zone and an area dedicated to teaching the human anatomy. 1. Butterfly House @Al Noor island

Interact with over 500 species of exotic butterflies in their natural habitat, in this haven that resembles something straight out of fairytales. It has been ergonomically designed to let in natural light and retain humidity to be the perfect refuge for all kinds of butterfly species. Put your toy cars aside and explore this one of a kind museum that displays more than 100 classic cars manufactured in the early 20th century. 1. Al Qasba - Ariel

Follow the story of beautiful mermaid, Ariel as she falls in love with a handsome human prince, bargains with Ursula the Sea Witch, and explores the world above the sea with her friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull, and officious court composer Sebastian the crab. Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, and the wildly popular Disney film, this musical staging of The Little Mermaid features a funny and fanciful book by Doug Wright, with the beloved score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Glenn Slater in an expanded but completely faithful form, featuring the rambunctious and persuasive “Under the Sea”, the romantic expectation of “Kiss the Girl” and that anthem of longing and belonging, “Part of Your World”.
