MakerKids - Leaside

MakerKids is a non-profit organization that provides STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education programs for kids.

Their programs cater to kids of different ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. The classes are structured to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, while giving kids the opportunity to work on hands-on projects and real-world applications.

MakerKids also offers various other classes like Coding & Robotics, 3D Design & Printing, and Game Design. In these classes, kids learn about software and hardware technologies, while also building confidence and developing their creative skills.

These programs are offered over weekly programs, Camps & PA days, Private Classes.

All classes are taught by live instructors. Virtual (learn from home) and in-person options available.

HOW TO BOOK

- One has the option to book a free-trial class before enroling. During the class students are introduced to many of the skills, techniques, and technologies they’ll soon be encountering on a weekly basis.

- Then one can register for the offered weekly programs, Camps & PA days, Private Classes by registering online either for in-person or virtual classes.

- Group Classes (Virtual & In-Person) Weekly 1 hour or 2 hrs Class
- Private Classes: 60-minute session per week, with a dedicated recurring instructor
- Camps & PA Days: (Virtual & In-Person) Summer/Winter Camps

- Minecraft birthday parties with Makerkids have something for everyone. Hop into a block-based virtual world with your friends and work together to build amazing creations.

- In our Robotics parties, kids will design, plan, program, and build an electronic invention while using a robotic microcontroller and learning how to code. They can create their own robotic invention and make it light up.
