C.J Skatepark's Programs & Lessons

C.J Skatepark is one of Canada’s largest indoor skateboard parks, operating since 2008. They offer summer, winter break, March break, and PA days skateboarding camps. Also year-round lessons and programs for all skill levels with certified instructors. ----------- KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK ----------- - An online waiver must be filled out prior to the class and proper safety equipment as per our insurance requirements (see on our website under the “Safety Requirements” sub tab). - To register for any programs and lessons please email at http://[email protected]/ with the participant(s) name, age, ability and a number for them to call you back at. - Cancellation Policy (Private & Semi Private & Group Lessons ): You need to pay prior to your lesson and if you are unable to make it to your lesson and need to cancel please do so at least 72 hours prior to your booking for a 50% Credit towards your next booking. In the case that you cancel after the 72hour period we will be unable to issue any refund. - Note: If in any case you are late you will be unable to join the lesson due to safety reasons as we need all students participating in the class to take part in the warm up and stretching routine prior to instruction. - All classes start on time, no exceptions ---------- LESSONS AND PROGRAMS - KIDS ---------- A) Skateboard Advanced Beginner - Drop In Classes, Saturday, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM - Sign Up Requirement: Participants must email and coordinate at least 24 hours in advance to secure their spot. - Requirements: Skateboard, Helmet, Wrist/Elbow/Knee Pads. If you do not have these, you can either purchase or rent through our onsite fully stocked proshop. B) Private Lessons - Duration: 45-minute class per week & 15 minutes of free skating after the lesson - This program is completely flexible and you may schedule subsequent sessions. C) Semi-Private Lessons - Duration: 45-minute class per week and an additional 15 minutes of free skate after the lesson. - PLEASE NOTE: 2 students are required for this program or it will not take place. D) Group Lessons - Duration: 45-minute class per week &15 minutes of free skate after the lesson. E) SCOOTER INTERMEDIATE LESSONS - Saturday or Sunday Drop - In Lessons, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm - Duration: 2 hour session (45-minute lesson & 75-minute free skate after the lesson) - Requirements: Skateboard, Helmet, Wrist/Elbow/Knee Pads. If you do not have these, you can either purchase or rent through our onsite fully stocked proshop. F) Skateboarding Toddler/Preschool Program (1yr – 6yrs) - Duration: 45-minute class per week - Saturdays, 10:00am – 10:45am - Wednesdays, 5pm – 5:45pm and 6pm – 6:45pm - PLEASE NOTE: There is a maximum of 8 students per class Includes safety pads, helmet, and skateboard rental. You are encouraged to bring your own helmet or can purchase one from our fully stocked Pro Shop. Please wear running shoes. - One parent may accompany participant to assist – must also sign waiver. --------- BIRTHDAY PARTIES --------- - Skateboarding birthday parties are available at CJ'S Skaterpark SKATEBOARD PARTY OR SCOOTER PARTY - 2 hours | party for 10 | - INCLUDES: Skateboards, safety pads and helmet as per our insurance regulation requirements. - Two instructors for one-hour lessons which includes safety preparation and orientation. - Two-hour use of a Party Room. All PACKAGES INCLUDE: - One Pizzaville party-size cheese or pepperoni pizza - 10 regular size Gatorade bottles. - CJ’s Stickers for each of the 10 participants in the party - Special CJ’s Gift package - skateboarding tricks “Ramp Up” with a foreword by Tony Hawk. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CAKE, CANDLES AND LIGHTER AS WELL AS PLATES & FORKS FOR YOUR CAKE. Add ons: - Extend your party – ride for an extra hour $10 per person - Additional party-size cheese or pepperoni pizza $40 - Loot bags (CJ’s Tech deck, CJ’s water bottle, and a pair of CJ’s sunglasses) – $10 per person ($16.95 value) ------------ THINGS TO KNOW ------------ - Birthday Party Packages are for 10 participants or more. - (Please note you can’t mix a skateboard and scooter group all participants must be riding a skateboard or a scooter but not both.) - Birthday parties are booked back to back so you must be finished at the end of your 2-hour start time. - All your guests must arrive on time. - If they arrive late after the start of the session they will not be able to participate in the activity part of the birthday party due to safety reasons and our insurance requirements. - So best to get your guests to arrive 15-20 mins early to avoid disappointment. - Please Note: The park is still open to the general public. -------- HOW TO BOOK -------- - To book a birthday party you must send your request to [email protected] - 250 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.The remaining balance is required 72 hours before the party. - Bookings must be made at least 10-days in advance of the party date. - Outside food permitted at an additional cost of $50. (You may bring cake, cookies, cupcakes/muffins or fruit for dessert. No peanuts, and no charge for this.) - 10 participants and up to 10 parents/guests are allowed to watch (does not include food or drink). This is due to the capacity of our birthday party rooms. - Any participant under 18 must have the CJ’s SKATEPARK waiver signed by their own parent or legal guardian on site to participate. - Waivers can be filled out online. Just go to our website and click on waiver: CJsSKATEPARK.com. - If one of the birthday child’s parents want to go into the park with the group to take pictures they must sign a waiver and wear running shoes and stay with the group for the duration of the activity part of the party. ------- CAMPS ------- - Their skateboard and scooter program is the best in Canada. Life at CJ’s Camp is specifically designed for any skateboarder, from beginner to advanced. - Any child who has reached 5 (yrs) of age is eligible for the camp. No previous skateboard experience is required, only interest! Their facility and instructors can accommodate all skill levels between the ages of 5 and 14. - Upon arrival at CJ’s Skate Camp, the instructors will oversee an assessment period to help us place your camper in the correct instruction group based on their age and ability level. - All Skaters under 18 years of age must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. - For an additional $50, you can add the exclusive CJ’s Camp Package to your summer camp enrollment.
