YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE (YPT) is Canada’s largest and oldest professional theatre for young people. The Drama School at Young People’s Theatre offers a vibrant mix of classes and camps where they can build skills and confidence through performance. -------- THEATRE PROGRAMS FOR KIDS -------- - Weekly Classes (JK – Grade 12) Acting & theatre fundamentals for young performers Musical Theatre combining drama, singing, and movement Storytelling & creative expression Age-grouped classes so kids learn with peers of similar grade levels Classes often culminate in performances on a real YPT stage for family and friend - Specialty Programs Mini Ensemble (Grades 4–6): Rehearse and perform a complete scripted play with a professional director, building performance technique and teamwork. Junior & Senior Ensembles: More advanced group work for older kids and teens. - Camps & Seasonal Workshops March Break Drama Camp (2026): Fun, immersive theatre activities during school break (registration opens Jan 20) Summer Drama Camps: Full-day creative theatre experiences (registration begins Feb 5).
