YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE (YPT) is Canada’s largest and oldest professional theatre for young people. The Drama School at Young People’s Theatre offers a vibrant mix of classes and camps where they can build skills and confidence through performance.

Acting & theatre fundamentals for young performers

Musical Theatre combining drama, singing, and movement

Storytelling & creative expression

Age-grouped classes so kids learn with peers of similar grade levels

Classes often culminate in performances on a real YPT stage for family and friend

Mini Ensemble (Grades 4–6): Rehearse and perform a complete scripted play with a professional director, building performance technique and teamwork.

Junior & Senior Ensembles: More advanced group work for older kids and teens.
