Riverdale Farm Tour

Riverdale Farm is home to more than seven acres of green space in Downtown Toronto, complete with cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and other docile farm animals. Visitors can wander the grounds and watch staff do their chores free of charge. The farm is particularly charming in that it realistically recreates early 20th century Ontario country life ------------- DAILY EVENT - 11:30 A.M. ------------ - Riverdale Farm hosts a daily farm demonstration, where the farmer presents a different animal to visitors in the Lower Francey Barn. Visitors are then free to ask questions. - Check out the chalkboard at the entrance to Francey Barn to find out which animal the farmer will introduce on the day of your visit. - With over three (3) kilometres of trails there will always be something for you to see and enjoy. The Farm map highlights all of the key features waiting for you to discover. - The Francey Barn houses horses, cows, goats and sheep when they're not outside in the paddocks. Head over to the Pig and Poultry Barn and meet the animal residents. ----------- GOOD TO KNOW ----------- - Parking is available only on the neighboring residential streets, which comprise a fascinating architectural mix of Victorian and modern-style houses. - Riverdale Park West is adjacent to the Farm, and is a lovely picnic spot in the summer, with plenty of shade and a wading pool. Direct interactions with livestock and animals must be supervised by Farm staff. - Dogs or pets of any kind (service animals exempt), bicycles, in-line skates, foot scooters, ride-on toys and vehicles are not permitted on the property.
