Collingwood Museum

The Collingwood Museum is housed in a structure styled as a modern take on Collingwood’s 1873 train station, but its collection extends well beyond transportation history. The museum also features interactive elements (e.g. models of ships, vintage film loops of ship launches, artifact displays) and highlights local artists, including works by those trained under the Group of Seven. ---------- PROGRAMS ---------- A) Special Events / Tours: - Haunted walking tours through Collingwood’s heritage district with ghost stories, on select October evenings. - Collingwood Art & Heritage Walking Tours: free 60-minute guided walking tours departing from the museum, exploring murals, historic buildings, and public art - Outdoor concert events (e.g. on museum grounds) tied to summer exhibit launches or local music groups - Summer Programs for children aged 6–12: morning hands-on, heritage-inspired programs, typically 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday over many weeks - Mobile programming: e.g. a Healthy Kids trailer parked on museum grounds offering interactive outdoor play, games, and creative play opportunities
