- Scenic Boardwalk: Follow the elevated boardwalk to view the protected landscape without damaging its delicate terrain.
- Fall Colours: Enjoy the contrast between the red earth and surrounding trees as they turn shades of orange, red and gold.
- Nature Walks: Explore the short Cheltenham Badlands Trail or walk a section of the Bruce Trail through the surrounding forest.

- Best Season: May to October; check current seasonal access before visiting.
- Reservations: Advance parking reservations are required through ParkPass.
- Parking Fees: $10 + HST for a 90-minute weekday visit or $20 + HST on weekends and holidays. Three-hour bookings are also available at higher rates.
- Visit Duration: Allow approximately 30-60 minutes for a short visit; longer reservations are available for additional trail walking.
- Stay on the Boardwalk: Walking directly on the red hills is prohibited to protect the fragile landscape.
- What to Wear: Wear comfortable walking shoes and a warm layer, especially in fall.
- Accessibility: The boardwalk and viewing platform are wheelchair- and stroller-accessible.
