7 Places To Visit Before They Close For Summer

Luckily for us, The Ripe Market has announced that they are extending their closing date to May 14th! That means you've got another three weekends to enjoy this much-loved outdoor market.

Shop from local farmers, artisans’, merchant and makers while your boys and girls get busy with kids activities such as horseback riding, fun workshops or a visit to the kids' petting zoo.

What's more, you and the family can take your taste buds on a journey across a multitude of pop-up F&B concepts. And don't miss the live entertainment that is sure to boost your weekend vibes.

This feel-good family go-to takes you and your kids on an around-the-world trip in just a day! Explore plenty of culture, mouthwatering food and fantastic festivities from across the globe in one place. 

With a myriad of amusement rides, fun-tastic arcade-style games, stunning live performances, and wanna-try-it-all food and drinks pop-up stalls, there is SO much for your family to get up to at Global Village.

Note that closing hours will vary in the week leading up to April 30. As usual, from Monday April 24 until Wednesday April 26, Global Village opens 4pm and closes at midnight. On Thursday April 27, the park opens 4pm and shuts at 1am - whereas April 28 to April 30, you can enter from 4pm until 2am.

And remember, if your little ones are fans of fireworks, Global Village puts on a show in the sky every Friday and Saturday at 9pm.

If you're up for a whimsical time out, Dubai Garden Glow is the place to go! 

Your little dinosaur fans will LOVE the massive dino park with more than 120 animatronic dinosaurs including the fearsome T-Rex, giant parasaurolophuses and many more.

And as evening sets in, you and the family can look forward to a festival of lights with the park's countless, unique glow-in-the-dark installations of fantastical animals and landscapes.

Enjoy an authentic safari experience at Dubai Safari Park where you and your kids can explore 2,500 animals from all over the world.

Visit the various ‘villages’ at the park where the animals are grouped according to geographical themes; Asia, Africa, Arabia, and the Explorers' village.

Your boys and girls can also enjoy an interactive experience with some of the animals including Giraffe Feeding, the Kids Farm, and the Grand Aviary housing tons of birds.

What's more, you can visit the world's first drive-thru crocodile exhibit at Dubai Safari Park, and the UAE's only drive-thru hippo and tiger exhibit.

A ‘fantastical journey through a world of flowers’ doesn't even come close to describing a visit to Dubai Miracle Garden. Home to 70 flower varieties and approximately 100 million blooming flowers, it is unlike any other place in Dubai and feels like you have landed on a different planet all together.

The park is yet to announce a confirmed date of closure but is recommending the public to stay tuned to their socials from the 1st of May.

If your family likes a bit of adventure, Aventura should definitely be on your list! This is a park where you and the kids can swing through the treetops and take on over 80 challenges.

Set in the great Ghaf forest in Mirdif, this one-of-a-kind experience will have you and your family on exhilarating zip-lines and challenges across multiple levels.

Whether you've got tiny beginners or daring youngsters, there are circuits to suit all from adventurous activities for small explorers to more challenging obstacles for the ultimate thrill-seekers.

The last day to visit Aventura is May 14th, and the doors will open again September 15th.

Up for a movie under the stars?

Gather the whole family for the last weekend of Cinema in the Park on the stunning grounds of Umm Al Emarat Park where you can watch some of your favourite kid-friendly movies.

On Friday, April 28th, you can expect ‘Turbo’ to show on the big screen - one that your racing-loving fans will enjoy. And on Saturday, April 29th, you can plop down for the live action movie ‘Aladdin’.

While you're at the park, your boys and girls can even pop by the water splash area or hop aboard the family-friendly train at the promenade.
