October 20, 2020 Posted by: Kidzapp Team Kids Activities

It is no secret that the UAE has become a world wide icon for amazing and pioneering attractions. But if you thought we were done after the likes of Ski Dubai, Burj Khalifa or Clymb Abu Dhabi, you thought wrong! Here are five incredible attractions coming to the UAE that we are super excited for.

1. The View at The Palm Jumeirah Dubai

Soon, there will be a way to take your sightseeing in Dubai to new heights at this public observation deck towering 240 metres above Palm Jumeirah, on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower. The View At The Palm will be the only place in Dubai where you and your family can enjoy amazing views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline – all at once.

Your journey to the top will start at the roof plaza of Nakheel Mall where you can check out an interactive and edu-taining museum and gallery dedicated to the making of Palm Jumeirah. You then step into an elevator, complete with a floor-to-ceiling digital sea, sand and sky experience, which will take you and your littles on a 3-minute ascent to the observatory at the top of The Palm Tower. Once you’re at the top, you and your family can marvel at the island beneath and enjoy gorgeous 360-degree views of Dubai.

Plus, there is even more fantastic news for the thrill-seekers among us as The View At The Palm is set to launch the longest zip line ride in Dubai which will give you the opportunity to fly over Palm Jumeirah and experience views like no other.

2. Snow Abu Dhabi

Winter is coming! You better believe it, Snow Abu Dhabi is set to open at Reem Mall, and is pegged to be the largest snow park in the world. You and the kiddos can choose from thirteen different attractions and enjoy a never-before-seen whimsical winter wonderland.

Confirmed attractions include the Snowflake Garden that’s rumoured to be every snowman’s dream; the Crystal Carousel where you and the littles can ride on your favourite woodland creatures; Flurrie’s Mountain where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the entire park; and Blizzard’s Bazar where you can purchase warm clothes if it gets too chilly, and lots of wonderful souvenirs as a memory of your magical day.

Keep an eye out for more updates and an announcement of the grand opening.

3. Jungle Bay

Set to open in January 2021, this waterpark comes with massive slides, a 6-metre wave pool, kiddie slides and a specially-dedicated AquaPlay area for the littlest members of your family designed to give parents a piece of mind while the tinies play.

A picturesque lighthouse is your access to the Whizzard and Body Slides which are three 130-metre long AquaTubes that thrill-seekers are sure to enjoy. The tubes will take you in 360-degree loop before a surprise drop.

When you’re feeling peckish, you can head to the Refuel Cafe & Bar which will offer a wide range of refreshments.

The waterpark will be exclusively available for guests of Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina and The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina which is a great excuse to already plan in your next staycation.

So round up your family and friends and look forward to immersing yourselves into some amazing VR games such as Singularity where you’re in a secret military space station that has gone dark and where it falls on you and your team to investigate why; Engineerium, where your world is turned upside down – literally – and leave you questioning your own reality; Zombie Survival that has you and your buddies caught in the middle of a zombie outbreak and many more out of this world VR experiences.

Getting around Dubai is about to get futuristic with RTA’s soon-to-launch self-flying taxis. So if you’ve ever wanted to explore Dubai at birds view, this is your chance! Designed to carry two passengers at a time, these air taxis, equipped with luxurious leather interiors, run on clean electricity and can go up to 100km/h. And don’t worry if you don’t have any flying skills as the air taxis run on autopilot.

RTA is still to specify the designated routes, take-off and landing points, pricing and suitable age group. So stay tuned!
