Kidzapp Turns 5: Celebrate With Amazing Giveaways

November is about to get spectacular as we celebrate five amazing years of Kidzapp. That's right! Five fun-tastic years of helping you find the best kid-friendly places in the UAE.

So how did Kidzapp get started and where are we heading?

Kidzapp was founded back in 2017 and is the brainchild of Karim Beidas, a proud dad of two who was on a mission to make parents’ lives easier and help them conquer the family weekend madness. The journey was not easy and involved lots of sleepless nights and hurdles - but here we are, five years later, making family fun and entertainment as hassle-free and as seamless as possible.

Over these past five years, we have had some really great moments under our belt. “The 2019 Kidzapp Awards is one that definitely stands out,” says Karim, “…being able to bring the whole industry together and celebrate hard work and parents’ recognition of the kids activity providers, from small parent run businesses to huge regional ventures.” Something we will also remember fondly is our partnership with Al Jalila Hospital for the massive Fitness District event where over 5,000 parents and children joined in. “The event included a strong focus on activities for people of determination,” Karim noted, “that was something the team found especially meaningful.”

Amongst our proudest moments, Karim says powering through the COVID lockdown and being there for parents during uncertain times is at the center. Karim explained, “We managed to pivot and change our model to create online partnerships and help keep things smooth for parents at a difficult time”. Along with the Kidzapp online summer pass in 2020 in partnership with Babyshop and Barbie, Kidzapp also hosted online digital story times and, of course, broadcasted daily Kidzapp TV shows where we had a lot of fun teaching families how to do magic, get involved with exciting science experiments, and got families exercising at home with their kids.

With an ever-growing team of passionate moms and dads, Kidzapp’s mission is to connect, simplify, enrich and give back. We aim to continue contributing meaningfully to the community by providing parents with information about the best children’s activities, venues and events in the region in order to create more opportunities for families to bond and grow together.

We have a lot of exciting plans ahead of us and as we continue to grow alongside old and new partners and users, we aim to support and work closely with family-oriented companies, both big and small, for their potential to serve the region. 

We hope that through all this, we can achieve a sense of community where families and individuals are motivated to give back. And after five fruitful years, it’s safe to say that we are continuously and endlessly doing our bit to live up to our mission!
