Celebrate Eid with these delicious, nutty cookies that are super simple to make. Have your kids help you measure out all the ingredients and place them in the bowl. --WHAT YOU'LL NEED--2 cups all-purpose flour1 cup semolina2 sticks salted butter, softened1/2 teaspoon allspice1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar1/4 cup chopped nuts (pistachios, walnuts, or almonds)powdered sugar for dusting2 tablespoons milk--STEP 1--Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176 C)--STEP 2--In a medium bowl, combine flour and semolina. Set aside.--STEP 3--In a smaller bowl, beat together butter for 30 to 45 seconds. Slowly add in flour mixture until combined.--STEP 4--Stir in milk, allspice, and orange blossom water.--STEP 5--Roll dough into 12 pieces.--STEP 6--In a small bowl, combine nuts and sugar. Set aside.--STEP 7 --Grab your dough and push 2-inch circles into it, then place onto parchment lined cookie sheet.--STEP 8--Place about 1 teaspoon of nut mixture on top of dough. Fold and press dough together to seal the filling.
