DINO 101 – THE ULTIMATE DINOSAUR WORKSHOP
The study of ancient life via fossils is known as palaeontology. A palaeontologist is a scientist who explores past life via the study of fossils.

All non-avian dinosaurs died 66 million years ago, leaving just the birds. But did you know that birds are dinosaurs, not descendants of dinosaurs? All of this fascinating information is learned by palaeontologists.

It takes a long time to become a palaeontologist, but you may spend a day in the life of one if you choose The Dino 101 course. In this course, you will be taken on a quick tour of the world of dinosaurs, including their evolution, anatomy, behavioural adaptations, extinction, and more. There will, of course, be plenty of bones, teeth, and eggs.

- Travelling exhibit: Museum quality fossils and casts – guided

SOLAR OBSERVATION
The Sun is the primary energy source for life on earth; our Sun is a star at the centre of the Solar System. Have you ever wondered what our sun is made of and how it glows? This workshop helps you to understand the nature of the Sun, its Composition, Structure, Life phases and how it influences the very nature of space - and, in turn, the atmospheres of planets.

Astronomers and astrophysicists study the sun to learn more about others stars. The better we understand other stars, the more we know about the Milky Way. From there, we learn more about other galaxies, and in the end, we learn more about the universe.

You will learn how to observe the sun safely; it is essential only to observe it with safety protections. In this workshop, you will watch the sun using various observing methods.

What's included?

A. Solar observation session with a computerized telescope (9-inch Schmidt Cassegrain & 6-inch Newtonian reflector telescope)

B. Mobile Astrophotography

C. Safe Solar Observing Methods: Pinhole projection, Filtered Telescope, Optical Projection, Solar viewing goggles

E. Lectures and observation

STARGAZING - THE ELEGANT UNIVERSE (EXPLORE THE NIGHT SKY EVENT)
The Universe Is Not Only Queerer Than We Suppose, But Queerer Than We Can Suppose - J. B. S. Haldane. Go on a journey exploring the universe and everything within it; immerse yourself in a deep-sky observation of Planets, distant stars, galaxies and nebulae, and be amazed by the details you will see through a powerful computerized telescope. You will be accompanied by an astronomer who will guide you throughout the session.

What's included?

A. Stargazing session with a computerized telescope (9.25-inch Schmidt Cassegrain)

B. Planets, Moon, Sun (available as solar observation), Stars, deep sky objects.

What will you learn in this course?

- Basics of Telescopes: Introduction, History and Working principle.

- Types of Telescopes: Reflector, Refractor, and Catadioptric.

- Types of Telescope Mounts: Alt Az, and EQ Mount.

- Hands-on Telescopes.

- Telescope Observation: Observation of various celestial objects such as Moon, Planets, Stars, Nebulae, Star Clusters, and Galaxies.(subject to weather and object’s availability)
