A) Willowgrove’s Take Root Nature School is a part-time (Flexi-school) education program developed for children 5-10 years of age.
Willowgrove’s Take Root Nature School operates from September until June each year. Each school year is broken up into three semesters: Fall, Winter, and Spring, and works in rhythm with the seasons. This puts students in direct relationship with nature, ensuring that learning aligns with all that each season has to offer.
Fall: 16 Weeks, Sep. 5 - Dec. 22, 2023
Winter: 9 Weeks, Jan. 8 - Mar. 8, 2024
Spring: 14 Weeks, Mar. 18 - Jun. 21, 2024
Enrolling more than one student? After your first child is enrolled, each additional child within that household will receive a 5% discount.
B) Take Root Programmes: Parent & Tots, Willowgrove Day Camp
Take Root’s Parent & Tots program is designed for both adults and children.
- Each season (spring: May-June and fall: Sept-Oct) is broken up into 8 weeks of programming, running for 2 hours on Tuesday mornings.
- Together with the Take Root facilitator, you will go on nature walks through Willowgrove’s rolling pastures and old-growth forests, visit the farm animals, sing songs, create nature crafts, and even get your hands dirty with some gardening.
- *Registration includes: 1 Adult and 1 Child (ages 1-4). Infants under the age of 1 are free.
