The Intro to Sprint Program at Mississauga Canoe Club offers young athletes a fun, welcoming introduction to Olympic-style sprint canoe and kayak, no prior experience required. ---------- PROGRAM INFO ---------- - The Intro to Sprint Spring session is a three-week introduction to competitive sprint canoe-kayak for athletes aged 14 and under. - Skills taught: Basic skills of sprint paddling Water safety rules How to balance, paddle, and train in sprint kayaks and canoes. Competition rules and have an opportunity to race at a fun, local regatta. Training will be both on and off the water.- No prior canoeing or kayaking experience required.
