Spotlight Academy is a Performing Arts Studio for students of all ages and skill levels. Participate in weekly group classes that focus on high-level performance training! Grouped by age, youth participants can join us for Triple Threat or Production! ------- PROGRAMS FOR KIDS & TEENS ------- - Musical Theatre: Weekly performance classes that focus on building confidence on and off stage! A) Triple Threat Program: Triple Threat is great for any age or skill level, and is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Musical Theatre. Sing, act, and dance as you work towards performing a Revue-style show on stage at the Isabel Bader Theatre! What is special about this program is that everyone gets an opportunity to be a lead, an ensemble member, and a scene partner. In the first class, we run group auditions. B) Production: Grades 3-8 only! Experience what it's like to be in a professional-quality show! Work on a full-scale musical theatre production from start to finish and perform at a high level with elaborate costumes, sets, props, and tech. The production program is geared towards students who are looking to take their musical theatre training to the next level. ------ BIRTHDAY PARTIES ------ What better way to celebrate than with Spotlight at your birthday? - Parties run 2 hours in length. The birthday family may arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the party to get settled and work with our team to set up the space to your liking. - Parties can take place at our North York studio OR our St. Clair studio. - Each participant will receive a custom script with special songs that the birthday star chooses! Children will be led through a high-energy warm-up, participate in exciting drama games, and dive right into the chosen material where the Birthday girl/boy is the STAR! You are welcome to select a theme for your special party! - Each party comes with 1 party-sized cheese pizza, tableware, a minimum of 2 Spotlight staff, and a setup & cleaning fee so that you can sit back and relax! Spotlight takes care of everything, except the cake! If you have more than 12 guests, we recommend adding extra pizza. Scroll down to our add-ons section below to accommodate food for your exact guest count! - Children will rehearse songs and choreography with their Spotlight instructors (All props and microphones provided by Spotlight). The larger party sizes require an additional staff member as well as more supplies. - The final performance will take place in the last 15 minutes of the party. All friends and family are invited to attend! *Outside food, except cake, is not permitted unless there is a specific allergy in the group. - For parties of 38+ guests, please send a separate email request to [email protected]
