CampTO (Toronto History Museums) is a creative camp experience that offers indoor and outdoor activities, active and quiet games, arts and crafts, and nature-based activities in a museum setting.
Join us as we explore the power of design! Campers will get to be city builders for a week as they use their imagination to create the type of spaces and neighbourhoods they would like to live in.
Along with hands-on activities such as a LEGO workshop, an urban planner guest speaker will teach campers about how the cities we live in are designed and how they too can be part of this process.
By the end of the week, participants will have a deeper understanding of how our environments shape us and will have created a visual product that illustrates their vision of a just city. This camp embodies the principles of anti-oppression, anti-colonialism, anti-racism, sustainability and advocacy and participants will be designing cities that accommodate all identities and abilities.
