Stonewood Equestrian Riding Lessons

Stonewood Equestrian offers lesson and competition programs for riders of all levels and experiences. New and experienced riders are welcome! ----- PROGRAMS ---- - Lessons: Group lessons , semi-private and private lessons. As required, a prospective student may schedule a paid trial lesson to determine their level and suitable group lesson options. Trial lessons are not mandatory for prospective students to join our lesson program. - The minimum age for lessons is 4 years old * Please contact them for introductory lesson pricing for children under 5 years old - Competitive Programs: - Summer Horse Riding Camp: Stonewood Summer Day Horse Camps, located in Pickering, offer hours of riding time and hands-on experience with a dual focus: teaching horsemanship; and nurturing the bond between horse and rider. Weekly 4 – 5 day summer camps are available to children between the ages of 6 and 14. We encourage first-time riders to sign up for summer horse camps before starting riding lessons in the fall to introduce the basics of riding and horse care. ------------- Horseback Riding Camp ------------- Stonewood Day Camps offer hours of riding time and hands-on experience with a dual focus: teaching horsemanship; and nurturing the bond between horse and rider. Weekly 5-day camps are available to children between the ages of 6 and 14. First-time riders are encourage to sign up for day camps before starting riding lessons in the fall to introduce the basics of riding and horse care. - Show Prep Camp These sessions will be geared towards preparing riders for upcoming horse shows, whether it is in-barn, an off-property schooling show, or a silver series competition. These sessions are tailored to riders that have a competitive goal they are working towards, they are not a beginner camp, and we encourage our more advanced riders to participate. - Experience Camp The final camp offering is an ‘Experience Camp’. These weeks will be an opportunity for participants to experience different disciplines within the horse world. Experiences such as a learn-to-play polo clinic, reining clinic, cross-country trip, dressage lesson, veterinary first aid course, and much more! -------- BIRTHDAY PARTIES -------- Stonewood Equestrian offers horse-loving birthday celebrations for both new and existing riders ages 5 and up, blending hands-on barn time with riding fun and a cozy space to celebrate with friends. Parties are scheduled around the weekly lesson program and are typically available on weekdays and PA Days, year-round. ----------- INCLUSIONS ------------ - Total duration: 3 hours - 1.5 hours in the barn & arena, featuring: - Grooming and bonding with the horses - Tacking up and untacking - Guided riding time and mounted games - 1.5 hours in the heated lounge, where families can: - Enjoy food and beverages - Watch riding activities in the arena Play games and open gifts in a relaxed indoor space ---------- Good to know ---------- - Food & drinks: Not provided; families are welcome to bring their own - Ages: 5 years and older - Availability: Weekdays and PA Days; subject to lesson schedule - Pricing: Available upon enquiry Celebrate your child’s special day with horses, hands-on fun, and unforgettable barnyard memories at Stonewood Equestrian.
