During each 3-hour class in LKA Mississauga Spring Sessions, your child will collect fresh ingredients from our pantry and use them to create their meal that will be enjoyed with other students at the community table. Each child has a fully-equipped workstation and will learn how to use tools safely and correctly while making a new recipe each class. Your child will leave our kitchen excited about the ingredients, recipes, and foods they have tried, and may even feel empowered to prepare them at home for the family!
While students are encouraged to taste ingredients as they work, they will not be eating until the last half hour of class so a small snack before class starts is recommended.
Enroll now for our spring sessions and let this fresh new season tempt even the pickiest eaters into becoming eager chefs.
--------- PROGRAMS ----------- Programs by age group:
- Age: 13-18 yrs: Drop-In classes, Teen Late Nights, Friday, Saturday
- Toddler’s First Taste classes are for 2–3-year-olds and their caregivers. The 75-minute classes feature a variety of hands—on activities, including mixing, measuring, and tasting, all designed to stimulate the senses and enhance fine motor skills.
Additionally, parents and caregivers will gain valuable insights into age-appropriate nutrition, fostering healthy eating habits from an early age. Children will don LKA’s smallest chef coats and engage in age-appropriate activities to develop confidence, new abilities, and interest in the kitchen.
- LKA Teen Nights are an excellent way to prepare for an independent life away from home at college or university, explore an exciting career path of a chef or nutritionist, or develop social skills and learn to make connections with other students with diverse experiences.
