Baby Spa Abu Dhabi – A Place For Pampering Your Little Ones

Shaima, CEO & Founder of Baby Spa in Abu Dhabi, said that her vision started out in 2014, during a visit to Singapore. Her friend recommended a spa for kids to try for her then 2-month-old son. After visiting the spa, she was amazed by the services the spa provided, and it was the first time that she was introduced to hydrotherapy. 

Shaima’s idea of opening her own a baby spa was born then, and after living abroad for a few years and finally moving back to the UAE in 2018, Shaima finally decided that it was the right time to make a difference in her country by building the brand “Baby Spa”. 

Although you can find baby spas in almost all other countries, the idea was still new to the Middle East. Shaima worked tirelessly on building the brand for over a year, and along with the technical and financial support of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise and Development, and fully supported and encouraged by her husband every step of the way, Baby Spa finally opened its door in April 2019, and is now the first of its kind in the Middle East. 

Hydrotherapy is the use of water exercises for various benefits. The benefits for babies include strengthening of muscular and skeletal activity, supporting of mental and physical activity, improving sleeping patterns (the mothers’ favorite of course!), improving digestion, improving blood circulation and many other benefits. 

At Baby Spa, babies are accepted from 2 months up to 18 months (depending on weight and height). They offer hydrotherapy, baby massage, haircut, hair treatments and nail cut and color. Their “Our Posh Baby” offer includes all treatments available for some ultimate pampering. As for future plans, since Baby Spa is the first of its kind and has a unique model, they are now offering franchise opportunities to different locations. They hope one day to expand Baby Spa worldwide and have the opportunity to represent a one of a kind Emirati brand.
