8 Dubai 30×30 Events Where Your Kids Can Join In

The Dubai Fitness Challenge is back in full swing…

And the whole city can take part in a plethora of fitness activities around town where mom, dad and even the young ones can walk, run, jump and bust a move to a healthier month ahead. Check out our picks below of some of the events where your kids can join in too.

1. Al Jalila Children's Fitness District

Al Jalila Children’s Speciality Hospital, along with Kidzapp, joins Dubai 30×30’s fitness movement with fun-tastic activities for your whole family.

Within Al Jalila Children’s lush green gardens, you can bust a move to the tunes by the world’s youngest DJ, take part in Family Zumba, meet a global sports celebrity as well as get entertained by circus performers and bubble shows.

And if that isn’t enough, your boys and girls can blow off some steam in the Kids’ Gym, tumble around bouncy castles and inflatables, and get busy with arts & crafts, slime-making, and kids’ development activities. There’ll even be balloon twisting and an ice cream truck!

Plus, did we mention that the Dubai Police Marching Band is stopping by too? Don’t miss out on this healthy dose of fun.

2. Kite Beach Fitness Village

Get yourselves moving on the sandy shores of Kite Beach as it transforms into a Fitness Village. Challenge your friends to a competitive game of beachside basketball or head to the sea for an endless choice of water sports including surf rescue classes for little ones. If you’re into group workouts, head to the main stage where instructors will lead mass fitness sessions throughout the month. Even children can join in the fun at the play area and get in their 30 minutes of activity at the inflatable aqua park and kids play area.

3. Dubai Festival City Mall Fitness Village

Over the next 30 days, this outdoor festival promenade is transformed into a huge workout space with exciting attractions such as sessions with professional fitness instructors against a backdrop of a special fitness-themed IMAGINE show, twice every evening. There’s also bike rentals on site so you can ride along a trail to catch a breathtaking sunset at Marsa Beach.

4. King & Queen at The Pointe

Put on your swimsuits, dig your toes in the stand and compete for the title of King or Queen of the Pointe at this mile swim. All ages from 8 years old are welcome to join the fun with a variety of swim distances suitable for all abilities. Choose between the 1/4, 1/2 or full mile or compete in teams of 2 or 4.

5. Take On The Challenge at WRTS Kid's Gym

Get your little ones healthy and active this month and take part in the Dubai Fitness Challenge over at WRTS Kid’s Gym, where your boys and girls get to “play with purpose” and develop physical, cognitive and social development whilst having fun.

6. Desert Road Runners

Join one of Dubai’s oldest run clubs for Desert Road Runners’ cross country race around the Rashid School for Boys. Your little ones can join the 2.5km run, while you take on the 5km challenge, for a fun and active way to start your weekend as a family.

7. Mini Mudder

Give your thrill-seeking little ones an adventure of a lifetime at Mini Mudder’s 1.6km obstacle course. Your kids will have to work as a team, and get super muddy along the way!

8. The Emirates NBD Unity Run

Bring your whole family down to a fun event that supports people of determination and promotes the cause of inclusion. Encourage your kids to sign up for the 3 km fun run/walk or take part in the 10km race. Afterwards, take your little ones to the Unity Village where you’ll find tons of kids activities, fitness sessions, yoga, ARTE the Makers’ Market, entertainment and plenty of F&B options.

Active Walk Nights

Take a night stroll and meet members of the Abu Dhabi community with these 30-minute guided night walks that are suitable for all ages. Head to the designated meeting point and say hello to your professional trainer who will lead the way. You’ll also get a relaxing cool-down and meditation session after your stroll.

Yoga mats and water bottles will be distributed by the instructor.

Walk 2019

Bring your loved ones of all ages to join a family-friendly 5km wellness walk that aims to raise awareness about diabetes and get everybody moving more. Alongside the walk, your children will have the chance to participate in different activities such as trampolines, climbing wall, inflatables, fitness and challenge zones. Meanwhile, mom and dad will also be entertained by fitness challenges and competitions on stage with lots of chances to win amazing prizes throughout the day.
