It is pretty normal these days to always hear about new and exciting things popping up all over Dubai, from thrilling amusement parks to a plethora of kids' activity centres. BUT, if you take a little journey to Old Dubai, you will discover a hidden and greatly charming side to our bustling city.
1. Thrill your senses
Explore 80 exhibits of all shapes and sizes including a Vortex Tunnel, a rotating cylinder that tricks the brain into thinking the ground under your feet is shifting, as well as the Ames Room, where you shrink or grow depending on your position in the exhibit.

2. Take a cultural walk
Delve into Dubai’s old way of life in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city. Best seen walking, this area offers you a nostalgic tour around traditional wind towers and a maze of twisting alleyways.

3. Sail the creek
Cross the Dubai Creek with your kids in an unforgettable experience aboard an abra (boat). These traditional boats are rich with Dubai's culture and your kids will be buzzing with the hustle and bustle of the waterways as they set sail.
The abra can also be booked as a private charter for cruising across the Creek.

4. Enjoy the old and new
Go on a journey through time and experience old, present and future Dubai all under one roof. 5. Shop the markets
Take the family out and explore a bustling waterfront bazaar with vendors selling textiles, souvenirs, attire, lighting, purses, snacks and much more. It's the perfect setting for a little journey through Old Dubai.

6. Explore Dubai's heritage
Explore the diverse heritage of Dubai through static displays, hands-on exhibits and hologram-like movies. Your little ones are sure to be fascinated with the life-sized scenes of labyrinthine souks and architecture, and ancient artefacts of life in the desert from a time gone-by.

7. Learn the ways of the ninja
Tucked away on the banks of Dubai’s creek, Al Seef is an area rich in historical sites and is a gorgeous place for you and your family to shop, dine and explore a bit of Dubai’s culture and heritage.
