10 Reopened Attractions & Museums In Dubai

It is truly wonderful to see that our city is slowly coming back to life with public beaches, major parks and restaurants having welcomed back families. And though the places listed below still don’t permit children under 12 and adults over 60, here are some family-friendly attractions that have finally reopened to the public.

1. The Green Planet

Bring your family and spend the day making new friends in a tropical forest full of exotic flora and fauna. For the curious, adventurous, young, and old, The Green Planet offers a first-hand encounter with some of nature’s wonders.

Safety Guidelines
– Masks to be worn at all times
– No more than 5 people in a group
– Social distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to

Children below 12 and adults above 60 are currently not permitted to enter

2. Ski Dubai

Make your way to Ski Dubai and enjoy activities like the Slide Hill, Tubing Run, Tobogganing, Bobsled, Snow Plough & Snow Bumpers. You can also enjoy the thrill of a giant zorb ball ride! Take to the slopes or just play in the snow. Afterwards, go and say hello to the Ski Dubai penguins!

All packages include a free pair of fleece gloves and outfit/equipment rental.

3. The Lost Chambers Aquarium

An otherworldly experience for your whole family, this underwater aquarium has 10 chambers of wildlife and over 20 exhibits to explore. Sharks, stingray, piranhas, and seahorses are just some of the creatures you’ll come face-to-face within this underwater world designed around the Lost City of Atlantis.

4. Dubai Frame

Go on a journey through time and experience old, present and future Dubai all under one roof. 5. Dubai Ice Rink

Head out for a day of frosty fun as you and your little ones try to master your moves on the ice. Join a public session if you’re just skating for fun, a freestyle session if you’re a more advanced skater and want to get some practice done – or you can even book a special Snowfall session where snowy white flakes fall gently around you as you skate.

6. Dubai Kartdrome

Pull on a helmet and buckle up for a racing experience you won’t forget with Kartdrome at the Dubai Autodrome. The outdoor area of the venue has re-opened and is equipped with all the necessary kit and safety equipment, so your boys and girls can whip around the track like David Schumacher.

They’re only open to guests who own their own race suit and helmets but also have limited helmets and suits for sale at reception for those of you that would like purchase your own.

7. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Bring your family face to face with exciting underwater life with a 270-degree glass tunnel, which lets you immerse yourself in the world of sharks, stingrays, and piranha. 8. At The Top Burj Khalifa

Catch bird-eye views (more like airplane views) of Dubai at the top of Burj Khalifa. You will love the thrill of the world’s fastest double deck elevators, cruising at 10m/s, along with the breathtaking views of the skyline of course.

9. Museum of Illusions

Tantalize your senses at ‘Museum of Illusions’ with its 80 exhibits of all shapes and sizes. You and your family will love the endless attractions including the Vortex Tunnel, a rotating cylinder that tricks the brain into thinking the ground under your feet is shifting, as well as the Ames Room, where you shrink or grow depending on your position in the exhibit.

10. Coin Museum

With over 470 rare coins on display, your family can discover the monetary system and its history in the Emirate.

From links to India and the British Empire, display cabinets and magnifying screens bring you face-to-face with these artifacts. There are also electronic screens that provide specifics including size, shape and scripture.
